Introduction: Passive defense and resilience of societies from the perspective of urban sciences means the ability to prepare for emergencies.
Aim of the research: The specific objectives of the present study include - to examine the correlation between the dimensions of resilience and passive defense
Research Methodology: The present study is an applied research and in terms of descriptive and analytical nature, field information collection method and the statistical population of the present study is all households in Sirjan. The sample size was determined based on Cochran's formula of 384 people. The validity of the research variables was based on the opinions and experts in urban planning and the reliability of the questionnaire was calculated using Cronbach's alpha of 0.75. The method of data analysis using descriptive statistics (mean and frequency distribution) and inferential statistics in SPSS environment is done. Geographical area of research: Sirjan city.
Findings and Discussion: The results of the research obtained from the one-sample t-test showed that there is a direct relationship between the dimensions of urban resilience and passive defense. Also, the results of regression and path analysis showed that the physical dimension had the most impact and the environmental dimension had the least impact on passive defense.
