Renewable energies include a variety of sources that come from natural and available energies. In order to develop the use of solar energy, it is necessary to locate areas where solar energy has the desired level and other necessary conditions for the construction of the power plant. Today, with the increase in world population, the amount of energy consumption has increased, and if energy production is not managed and put in a new direction, it will lead to irreparable effects and consequences. Today, most countries in the world, including Iran, have realized and emphasized the importance and role of renewable energy sources, including solar energy. Due to the importance of this issue, the purpose of this study is to assess the ability to build solar power plants in cities in arid regions. The present research is descriptive-analytical in terms of research method and library and field information in terms of data collection method. The parameters studied in the study in terms of climate include rainfall, sunny hours, received radiation, cloudiness, temperature, dust, frost and in terms of environment, altitude, slope and land use. The period of study of climatic parameters is 15 years and from 2003 to 1397 and includes all synoptic stations , including Sabzevar synoptic station in order to zoning in GIS software environment and measuring the climatic and environmental ability of Sabzevar in the construction of stew power plants. In this research, GIS application software and AHP hierarchical technique have been used to analyze the data.
