Introduction: The Caspian Sea as a unique geopolitical region, with its environmental benefits, unique location and favorable capacities, has a significant impact on the development of the surrounding regions and countries, especially geoeconomic development.
Objectives: This article has been written with the aim of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the geoeconomic potential of the Caspian Basin.
Methodology: The present study has been done in a descriptive-analytical manner with the benefit of library studies and survey studies.
Geographical Context: The Caspian Sea basin has been considered as a geographical territory of research by the authors.
Results: Library studies show: the capacities of the Caspian Sea-based economy and related actions in the form of biological resources, energy economics, coastal tourism, shipping industry, privileged ports, common geocultural relations, approaches of regional powers Trans-regional with a focus on Iran is effective on the geoeconomic capabilities of the field. Also, the research findings obtained through survey surveys and data analysis using SPSS software indicate that based on the average value of each item in the questionnaire, the components located in the corridor path. North-south, Caspian's neighborhood with Russia, cultural sharing around the Caspian Sea, Caspian Eurasian position and Caspian proximity to the Caucasus and Central Asia, more than other components affect the quantity and quality of geo-economic potential of the Caspian Basin.
Conclusion: The capacities of the Caspian Sea-based maritime economy provide the grounds for the development of geo-economic relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
