A comparative study of the function of new small cities with emphasis on the spatial-spatial location of Golestan province as a case study

Abstract

Urban policy makers have realized that for development to take place within human settlements, small towns should be seen as links between surrounding villages and larger cities in local, regional and national development.

This article was carried out with the aim of explaining and analyzing the function of new small cities with emphasis on the spatial-spatial location of these cities in Golestan province.

The research method is descriptive-analytical in nature and practical in terms of purpose. The data was collected by survey method and based on questionnaire and interview. The statistical population includes: all the citizens of Napa small towns and the sample population includes 379 citizens.

From the perspective of Friedman's test, the findings of the research show that the new small towns of the North Plain region have an average rank (3.25, 5.79, 36.00) in terms of function (educational, cultural-religious, administrative-police) 5) and Middle Jalga region experienced the highest functional changes in terms of functionality (health-medical and financial-commercial) respectively with an average of (4.85, 3.31).

The final result is that, although among the new small towns, the city of Marawa in the northern plains and the city of Fazel Abad in the Middle Jalgah district, in terms of urban performance indicators, they created a new and stable relationship between the settlements of their districts, but to reach a All new small towns should be able to benefit from the ooze of functional development in a favorable and suitable situation.
