Abstract
Tabriz metropolis has potential in the field of tourism, especially health tourism, which unfortunately, lack of proper planning and management in this field has caused its lack of development. In this regard, the aim of the current research is to identify the factors influencing the management and development of health tourism in Tabriz metropolis. The research method in the present study is mixed (combination of quantitative-qualitative methods) with analytical and exploratory nature. For this purpose, by using the Delphi method (30 elites and city managers in the field of tourism) and the application of cross-effects analysis technique in Micmac software, information analysis has been done with a future research approach. The findings of the research show that the greatest impact on the management and development of health tourism in Tabriz metropolis is related to the implementation variables of information technology management in the organizations in charge of tourism affairs and emphasis on knowledge-oriented and knowledge-based management, the existence of coordination between the centers for making key and fundamental organizational and inter-organizational decisions and benefiting from Knowledgeable people in the responsible bodies are in line with the effective and efficient realization of programs and projects. It can also be said that due to the current situation and the lack of key and strategic components that are influential in the development of the system, the future of management and development of health tourism in Tabriz metropolis will be unstable.
