An Evaluation of the Effect of Urban Land use Mixed on Energy Consumption Emphasizing Transportation (Case study: Tabriz city)

Abstract
the present study investigates mixed land use to investigate the effect of mixed land use and land use planning on energy consumption. According to the latest general census, the population of Tabriz is 1558693 people and it is the largest city in the northwestern region of Iran. Amount of mixed landuse in Tabriz is moderate, so that this mixed is equal to 0.6 in the drop method, approximately 0.72 in the mixed land use method and 0.61 in the HHI method. The range of focal statistics in different urban areas of Tabriz (0.5) indicates the inappropriate distribution of land uses in the city of Tabriz. In terms of multiplicity index, 6 land uses are at a very suitable level, 6 land uses are at a moderate and appropriate level and 6 land uses are at an inappropriate level in terms of density.
The results of Pearson correlation with an intensity of 0.712, at a significance level of 95%, there is a very strong correlation between mixed landuse and energy consumption in Tabriz transportation. Among the transportation indices, the highest correlations with energy consumption were the indices of production and travel absorption, per capita pedestrian travel, per capita passenger travel, length of roads and car ownership coefficient with correlation coefficients of 0.649, 0.632, / 621, respectively. 0, 0.425 and 0.293.
