Prioritization of Cities and Analysis of Location of Airport Construction in East Azerbaijan Province

Abstract

Introduction: Finding a suitable place for the construction of an airport in the provinces of the country based on physical, aviation and geographical features, economic and environmental factors, can have very important effects in that region. Airport location studies are one of the most important topics in regions (provincial, urban, etc.)

Objectives: In this regard, the study tries to develop a metaheuristic technique by identifying the standard criteria, prioritizing Eastern Azerbaijan counties in order to construct the airport and finally compare the results with the seca model and copras method.

Methodology: This research is applied developmental research in terms of its purpose and descriptive research in terms of research method. In this research, the location analysis of the construction of the airport has been considered according to the decision-making methods.

Geographical Area of Research: East Azerbaijan, the center of which is the city of Tabriz and has 21 cities.

Result and Discussion: The results of the present study show that all three methods indicate that the Miyaneh city is the best alternative for the construction of an airport.

Conclusion: According to the comparisons, the use of the techniques presented in this study will be very safe for organizations and companies in making proper more right decisions. considering the performance of the technique in finding the airport, this technique has the ability to choose the appropriate option and position finding in different projects.
